Pedestrian Facilities Users Guide

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center, a center within the University of North Carolina's Highway Safety Research Center, has released the Pedestrian Facilities Users Guide. Created as part of a Federal Highway Administration study, the guide contains information on how to create walking environments, possible causes of pedestrian crashes and potential countermeasures, and suggested engineering improvements.
