TRB's Committee for Review of the Oregon Department of Transportation Study on Bridge Shear has issued a final report on its peer review of a study by Oregon State University (OSU), commissioned by the Oregon Department of Transportation, that develops a method for determining the carrying capacity of concrete bridge beams with shear cracking and predicts their remaining useful life. The TRB committee's letter report examines the appropriateness and soundness of evaluation data, evaluation techniques, and resulting recommendations of the OSU study.
