TRB is cosponsoring the Transportation and Economic Development 2006 (TED 2006) conference on March 29-30, 2006, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  This conference will focus on the different public and private perspectives concerning transportation roles in the economy.  Issues to be addressed will include freight; productivity and labor force; tourism; global trade; coordination of transportation and economic development planning; state, local, and regional analysis and planning; differences in transportation supporting economic growth and economic development; and potential negative impacts of transportation.
