TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1987 contains 17 papers that explore the emission impacts of high-occupancy-vehicle lane operations, toll collection and electronic screening impact on heavy-duty vehicle emissions, emissions from extremely low-emitting vehicles, evaluating mobile source air toxic emissions, emissions from new and in-use transit buses, and ultrafine particle number concentrations from hybrid urban transit buses. This TRR also examines a traffic air quality simulation model, air quality measurements inside diesel truck cabs during idling, regional vehicle-mapping tables for MOBILE emissions model, variability of mobile source air toxic emissions factors with MOBILE6.2, and emissions of dump trucks fueled with B20 biodiesel versus petroleum diesel. In addition, this issue addresses driver and road type effects on gas and particulate emissions, speed- and facility-specific emission estimates for on-road light-duty vehicles, road pollution alert system, energy and environmental impacts of roadway grades, and commuter exposure to fine particulates inside automobiles.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. TRB's TRR Online service allows all visitors to identify papers of interest and review abstracts of those papers. Access to the full papers is available to service subscribers and employees of TRB sponsors. Papers may also be purchased on an individual basis.
Printed copies of TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 45 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 800 papers grouped by subject.
