Workshop on Identifying Traveler Information Research Needs to Achieve All Roads-All Modes-All the Time: Early Bird Registration Closes March 27th

Last Modified Date: 8/13/2009

TRB is sponsoring the Workshop on Identifying Traveler Information Research Needs to Achieve All Roads-All Modes-All the Time on April 15-17, 2009, in Irvine, California.  The workshop is designed to examine traveler information research and policy issues in terms of the goal of “All Roads-All Modes-All the Time.” The workshop will bring together traveler information researchers, policy makers, public and private sector service providers, transport network managers, and modelers to explore current knowledge and potential research needs.

Good traveler information, informed public policy, and private investment are critical to improving transportation network performance, essential to the success of several current U.S. Department of Transportation transportation programs, including the Urban Partnership Agreement, Integrated Corridor Management Initiative, and the Vehicle-Infrastructure Integration Initiative, and central to private travelers who seek to make informed time- and energy-efficient trip choices.  The goal of the workshop is to leverage current practitioner, research, and industry expertise to suggest future directions for real-time traveler information research, demonstration, and evaluation programs.
