Performance Measurement, Demand Management, and Issues of Major U.S. Cities

Last Modified Date: 9/10/2008

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2046 includes 11 papers that explore travel time reliability measures, performance measures of freeway operations, communicating performance measures and results to citizens, incorporating transportation demand management into the land development process, evaluating urban parking policies, and reassessing on-street parking.  This issue of the TRR also examines employee transportation benefits in high transit mode share areas, compressed workweek choices, removal of inner city freeways, how civil engineering students choose a specialization, and a teaching laboratory for an integrated land use and transportation course.
