TRB's Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Research Results Digest 6: Guidance for Identifying and Mitigating Approach Lighting System Hazards is designed to assist with defining response procedures to mitigate or reduce the hazards associated with aircraft and approach lighting system incidents. 

Additional information on the project that developed ACRP RRD 6 was published as ACRP Web-Only Document 4: Contractor’s Final Report for ACRP RRD 6: Guidance for Identifying and Mitigating Approach Lighting System Hazards, which explores the results of the research on approach lighting system (ALS) hazard identification and mitigation techniques.
